1st Line Helpdesk Support

Our well respected and renowned client are looking for an experienced 1st Line Helpdesk Support consultant to join their team based in Coleford on a permanent basis. The 1st Line Helpdesk Support consultant will be well versed within an IT Support environment, with experience of Microsoft/Windows, Hardware (PC's/Laptops/Mobile Phones as well as Servers, Software Support and Virtualisation. This is an exciting role, as you will take ownership and be responsible for the procurement of IT Software and Hardware.

1st Line Helpdesk Support - Key Skills:

* Windows XP / 7 / 8 skills in an IT support environment

* Hardware support / troubleshooting skills (PC's / Laptops / Printers / Multi-function devices)

* Software support skills (MS Office / Adobe / Web browser etc)

* Basic networking skills (Switches / Routers / IP addressing)

* Hardware builds (Desktops / Laptops / Tablets and Mobiles)

* Basic Windows 2008 server knowledge (Active Directory / Printers / User creation / User rights assignments etc)

* Basic backup software knowledge (Symantec / Veeam)

* Some Virtualisation knowledge (VMWare / VShpere / VDi)

1st Line Helpdesk Support - Scope:

You'll be joining our client's in-house team supporting internal users across the UK and global offices. In this role, you'll be providing all hands on support to software/hardware issues, implementing software upgrades and maintaining the Network Environment. You will also be involved in hardware builds and initial system training for new users. You will also be responsible for the procurement of IT Hardware / Software.
