Job Title: Frontline - Technical Agent, 12 month fixed term contract

Location: Reading

Salary: Competitive

The Frontline - Technical Agent will focus on administrating support calls within the Support Tracking system, request more detailed information and inform/update the customer of the status of the calls. Frontline - Technical Agents may assist Technical and Senior Technical Engineers in resolving more complex technical issues. The role is split approx. 70% phone enquiries and 30% translation.

This is a long-term contract role with the opportunity to become permanent.

Candidate must:

* Have the ability to rapidly analyse complex information

* Be able to build rapport

* Be able to ask fact finding questions

* Be self-organised and have good judgement (e.g. when to pass on tickets in a time critical situation)

* Have the ability to identify revenue opportunities

* Have Windows OS or Unix skills

* Have previous experience with enterprise backup software

* Have networking experience

* Possess strong customer relation skills

* Have the ability to attune to customer's needs and situation

Technical Skills in the following areas are a plus:

* Storage Area Networks (SAN) or NAS

* MS Exchange, SQL and SharePoint

* Lotus Notes

* Oracle

* HP/EMC/HDS/NetApp storage products
