Graduate Software Developer

Broughton-in-Furness, Cumbria

From £20,000 Plus Generous Benefits

UK’s No. 1 Educational Publisher seeks Graduates to join IT Development Team.

Our client is growing rapidly. They have created and now market well over 1,000 titles (including digital products) and their range continues to expand. Based on four sites in the Lake District, with over 200 employees, they’re looking to recruit graduates with an interest in software development.

Our client develops all their own operational IT Systems, so they are flexible and do exactly what they want - which is fundamental to their annual sales of over 10 million books and digital products.

If you are a talented graduate (or final year student) with a real enthusiasm for technology in general or software development in particular, our client would love to hear from you. They’re open-minded as to your degree (although they think maths, science or computing would work well) but whatever your background, you’ll:

- Be open-minded with a desire to learn and develop

- Have a logical mind and be switched on by technology

- Enjoy structure and working with methodologies

- Be self-motivated and driven by high standards

An existing understanding of C#, SOLID design principles or Agile delivery methods isn’t necessary but, if you’re the right person for this role and for our client, you’ll be keen to research what they are and how they’re used in developing business systems. You’ll learn and develop with the team and all training will be provided in house. Then it’s up to you to make it work.

Excited?

To apply, email your CV with a covering letter and (where applicable) your current salary details. Please remember to include what excites you about technology generally and why you’re suited to this role and a career in IT.

Please note, the closing date for this role is Thursday 1st June 2017.

This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit. The services advertised by Webrecruit are those of an Employment Agency.
