Mechanical Technical Advisors
The Mechanical Technical Advisors will be in charge of the management responsibilities including planning, organizing, integrating and monitoring of resources such as labor, supervisors, tools and technical assistants as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements. In particular he/she will be responsible for:
* Installation & maintenance on Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generators and Centrifugal Compressor;
* Trouble shouting and diagnostic on Steam Turbine, Generators and Centrifugal Compressor; mechanical system and Auxiliary System;
* Takes direction from GE Management to implement software changes to turbine and is responsible for directing lower level craft labor to perform the changes.
* Provide technical expertise to customers, service support, field technicians and operators;
* Provide external and internal timely and accurate professional reports
* Ensure contractual obligations are met; * Play a proactive role in problem identification & resolution;
* Manage network of resources (including contractors and subcontractors) in support of contract/project execution;
* Perform walk-downs during installation to ensure that the customer's contractors are working properly.
* Perform after market upgrades that need to be performed at the site level. Attend technical meetings with Customers;
* Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company Environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures; Requirements:
* Mechanical Engineer or Technical High School;
* 5 years related work experience either in engineering or field service;
* Good knowledge of English language; both written and spoken
* Familiarity with Steam Turbine, Generators and Centrifugal Compressor; and Auxiliary Systems;
* Knowledge of Gas Turbine and centrifugal compressor maintenance practices;
* Availability to frequent travel and work off-shore;
* Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawing;
* Working knowledge of thermodynamic compression principles and solid mechanics;
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
* Good interpersonal & organizational skills.
* Excellent computer skills
* Excellent EHS knowledge
Mechanical Technician
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Will work as part of a team during, change outs, maintenance, and repair of GE Frames
* Use hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of GE Frames
* Troubleshoot complicated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch, variable speed turbines
* Help in all areas of site as directed by manager or lead supervisor
* Perform all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to as directed
* Work effectively as part of a team of technicians
* Process timesheets, expense reports, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) forms, and job reports in a timely manner

* Comply with all EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work site
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Fluent in English
* Must have experience doing field work within the power generation industry
* Sound experience working with GE Gas Turbines (Frames)
* Able to understand and implement technical procedures
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
* Strong computer skills
PHYSICAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able and willing to work weekly schedules that are not uniform on a day-to-day basis * Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
* Must be able to climb ladders and steps
