OVERALL PURPOSE:

To ensure all Possession Access Planning requirements are booked and agreed within the contract for the Plain line Track Renewals team using PPS and NROL. Ensure these access and train plans are agreed with Network Rail and within the correct timescales. Manage and record any changes to the access plans as required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Assist in planning works in line with Network Rails Access Planning, End to End processes and Client procedures. Ensure any changes to agreed access and train plans are managed, communicated to the Project Manager, Planning and Logistics Manager and Renewals teams and that Risk/Change Registers are robustly maintained.

* With support from Development teams, ensure access requirements are obtained from the client and train and access plans are prepared to ensure safe and cost effective delivery of the works.

* If required, attend specification reviews and walkouts with the client and development team.

* Attend access and integration planning meetings with Network Rail to ensure the timorous securing of the Company's access needs.

* Assist in the preparation of, access and strategic resource plans for the delivery of proposed works.

* Support the preparation of Contract Programmes as required, ensuring optimisation of access opportunities and efficient use of resources.

* Ensure agreed performance and other KPI's are met.

* Ensure that all work activities are planned in accordance with conditions of contract, health and safety legislation and company procedures.

* Promote and ensure safe working practices in accordance with the appropriate safety legislation.
