The University's IT Services department provide innovative, reliable IT services which are continually adapted to meet the changing needs of staff and students, supporting them to become world class professionals.

IT Services assist students, staff and guests in their use of MMU systems, helping them work smarter, faster and easier. We maintain a high level of IT Services throughout the University:

Support for all students, staff and visitors via our IT helpline, which operates 24/7

Desktop IT support for all staff at MMU

A range of resources, including FAQs and online support materials

Bespoke courses to train staff on the use of IT systems

Support for research and academic enterprise activities, along with support for events and conferences.

Role

We currently have a vacancy within Information Systems and Digital Services to work in delivering a number of large scale Business Change projects in addition to Technical Enabling Projects.

Primarily, the successful candidate will be working on an intranet project, where the role will initially be the further development of the Business Case and Plan and then the leading of the service deployment, controlling the technical delivery in detail and coordinating the Business Change Requirements with other University specialists.

Ideal Candidate

The Ideal candidate will have formal Prince2 Practitioner qualification and run technical projects before, at least one from Business case development to completion, with a value exceeding £500k. A knowledge of ITIL and the HE sector would also be useful.
