Software Engineer, C++

My successful client based in London specialises in software within the sports arena and they are now seeking a Software Engineer who has commercial experience with C++, to help develop the tools and applications.

As Software Engineer you will be involved in all areas of software development, including the design and implementation of feature requests using solid software engineering practices. You will help project planning by providing accurate estimates for tasks, as well as deliver on goals in a timely manner with regular progress updates. You will also be involved in fixing bugs and helping the support team answer technical questions.

Essential skills for the Software Engineer:

* 2 years' experience of commercial software development using C++

* Excellent spoken and written English, with clear communication skills

* Degree in a scientific or technical subject

Desirable skills for the Software Engineer:

* Good working knowledge of multi-threaded and multi-process software engineering

* Experience developing applications on Windows OS, Mac OS X and Linux

* Experience of Agile development tools and processes

* Experience developing applications using Qt

* Experience developing applications that process video and audio

* Basic understanding of networking

This role would suit a C++ Software Engineer with around 2 years experience developing in a commercial environment.
