This global market leader in the development of smart software for unmanned maritime systems, are looking to recruit an experienced Software Testing Engineer for a position within their team in their Edinburgh office. This company works on state-of-the-art subsea robotics problems and have an international client base.

You can expect to be working closely alongside project and product teams, providing key infrastructure support to aid in the testing and delivery needs of the software project teams. You will be working with cutting edge technology to support and extend the company's Continuous Delivery capabilities. You will also assist the dedicated IT team in maintaining the open-source based IT infrastructure of the company.

Main Purpose of the Role

Applicants will have the opportunity to explore and implement new testing and deployment technologies as the company grows and needs change.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Maintenance and upgrade of existing test systems to support the company's solutions and products

- Capturing and addressing needs of project and product groups

- Ensuring best testing and deployment practices are followed

- Assessing new technology which would benefit the company

Required skills:

- Bash/Windows Command Shell knowledge

- Linux/Windows OS administrative experience

- Maven, CMake, MSBuild, Docker

- Package Management systems including Debian, RPM, NuGet

- Good grasp of Networking and IT Security issues

- Outgoing and comfortable working with engineering teams

- Strong communication skills

Experience in at least one of the following areas is desirable:

- Jenkins/SonarQube/Artifactory

- Ranorex Automation

- Sentinel Hasp Licensing/Babel Obfuscation

- Continuous Delivery/DevOps

- Bugzilla/Phabricator

- Virtualisation technology

- Past exposure to some of the following technologies: IMAP, SMTP, LDAP, Nagios, VoIP, Kerberos, LAMP stack
