I am currently recruiting for a Network Operations Project Manager for my client who is a market leading telecommunications network provider based in Cambridgeshire. The role is to ensure successful end to end Delivery of a variety of defined multi technology project in line with the operations strategy. Main accountabilities:

*Applying a best fit project management approach to working in the company operations environment and on various project types.

*Co-ordinating the efforts of team members and, where appropriate, third parties in order to deliver the project according to requirements

*Ensuring projects are moving forward under control and that the individual status of each project is known and can be communicated swiftly and concisely to the operations management tea.

*Applying suitable time, quality, task, risk, issue and dependency management on all projects

*Close liaison with project team members and stakeholders on an on-going basis

*Work to identify where improvements can be made to accelerate projects or improve delivery quality.

*Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations as required by the PMO office or Operations.

*Making continuous improvements to the project management framework - developing and maintaining project standards to ensure the integrity, robustness and efficient realisation of all project deliverables - in collaboration with colleagues and the Head of Project Office

Key Skills:

*Experience working with and understanding of one or more of the following technology areas:

-Optical, IP Carrier Networking

-Optical & IP Vendor Equipment

-Operational tools and systems (OSS,BSS)

*Knowledge of the delivery of complex technical projects in a carrier or vendor environment

Ideal candidate will be someone from a project management or coordinator background with an excellent understanding or industry experience in the Telecoms. Its essential you have substantial experience of managing projects within an SME or start up business environment, they are looking for someone who is very self sufficient and is not afraid to roll their sleeves up!
