This is a great opportunity for a network engineer who is looking to work within a cloud environment using AWS.

My client is at the beginning of an exciting new project to move into the cloud and requires an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team.

As Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to ensure to continue to provide a level of service your main duties will includes:

* Ensure all network systems meet capacity and performance requirements

* Contribute to; the design, development, and implementation of server and network infrastructures and data centers.

* Work alongside Infrastructure Manager to deploy solutions to current future needs of the company

* Support server resources for internal technology teams, across bare metal, virtualisation, storage and database technologies

* Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure the estate meets our compliance, availability and security requirements, and is kept up to date with advances in technology

* Working with internal project and software engineering teams to ensure processes are effective and to support a high-performance project delivery pipeline

* Contribute to the architectural design and decision making in relation to our infrastructure estate

Essentials skills

* Prior Experience in being part of an IT infrastructure team

* Knowledge of Infrastructure systems, Virtual servers, SAN technology, Network & systems security

* Support multi-platform, production grade systems

* Familiarity of industry best -practice/ standards regarding IT infrastructure

* Understanding of technical systems

* Knowledge of networking technologies and core networking - ASA firewalls, WAN , VPN and VMware

* Cisco / CCNA

The salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience plus benefits 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, bonus scheme, pension, annual training allowance, private medical, cycle to work scheme and childcare vouchers.
