To make this vision a reality we are looking for outstanding individuals with significant experience of delivering capital projects through the implementation and management of well governed projects.
The City Council provides a wide range of services to the public and the Project & Contract Management team delivers a range of capital and infrastructure projects that support the Councils strategic priorities. We have 2 vacancies, one permanent and one fixed term for 12 months for experienced Project Managers to join our team. They will be responsible for managing and facilitating a broad range of complex and high value projects to assist the Council in achieving those priorities. Holding Prince 2 (foundation and practitioner) would be an advantage as would experience of delivering capital projects.
Key activities will include:
Managing project teams working on a number of projects, including multi-disciplined projects funded by several agencies and strategic partners in order to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
Financially managing projects including completing and submitting regular claim forms to funders and maintaining effective records for audit purposes
Commissioning, procuring and managing inputs to projects, involving the co-ordination of internal resources and/or the management of external consultancies, contractors, professional advisors and partner contractors.
