Position: QMS Quality EngineerLocation: Salfords, Surrey
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 (Dependent on Experience)
The QMS Quality Engineer Role:
The QMS Quality Engineer will be responsible for executing the defined strategic quality plan in conjunction with quality functional leadership.
You will provide quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners and internal functional departments and participates in continuous improvement activities in targeted areas.
The successful candidate will also execute the quality assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements, and be expected to maintain the QMS across two sites.
Key Responsibilities of the QMS Quality Engineer:
Establish and maintain the Quality Manuals, procedures and processes to ensure the highest standards in the QMS and auditsEstablish internal and external schedule for quality related audits and assessments. Ensure Division’s preparedness for scheduled regulatory assessments and audits in accordance to AS9100 and ISO41001 standards, reviewing and revising system documentation, including responsibility for scheduling, and training of auditorsProvide lead and support to achieving continual improvement of processes and for QMS compliance with AS9100ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. Drive to closure and measuring success of those effortsSupport the interface with external AS9100/ISO9001 and ISO 14001 RegistrarSupport the liaison with external parties on matters relating to the QMSMonitor the QMS to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness. Ensure QMS processes are measured and analysed to improve or maintain their effectiveness. Implement assigned actions necessary to achieve planned results while ensuring the integrity of the QMS is maintainedCommunicate the importance of meeting customer, statutory and regulatory requirements. Promote the awareness of regulatory and customer requirementsSupport the regular review of quality objectivesContribute in the design and implementation of quality assurance training programs and conduct training in quality-related topicsParticipate in and provide support for management reviews and the roll out of the QMS procedures and processes across both sitesEnsure that the appropriate documentation and structure are in place to support the requirements of customers Skills & Experience Required:
Thorough understanding of problem solving methods, i.e. 8D and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projectsDetailed knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (i.e. AS9100, ISO 900, and ISO14001.)Detailed knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective action determinationUnderstanding of engineering design and product reliability concepts and tool setsISO14001 and AS9100 trained Auditor The Company:
