Exciting new vacancy from an established global business, an innovative leader in their field; we are welcoming applications from experienced Design Engineers who have worked within Engineering on NPD projects.

This position is part of the company's growth and increase in projects, holding significant market share and with strong growth plans this opportunity will be suited to Engineers hungry for success and with a desire to succeed.

Purpose of the role:

Produce design and development outputs to support product realisation and to formally review and control design changes during the products lifecycle.

Responsible for creating and maintaining models, drawings and supporting documentation to facilitate but not limited to New Product Introduction (NPI), VAVE/DfV , Change Management, Advanced Development Programs.

Your duties should include:

- Ensure models and drawings are completed and maintained in a timely manner.

- Ensure designs produced are designed for manufacture.

- Cost reduction opportunities are exploited at design outset.

- Ensure good quality engineering support is provided to internal and external customers of the department.

- Continual improvement of process interactions between locations.

- Using Pro Engineer or other CAD package, be responsible for generating models of components and completing detail drawings to document the model.
