Group Head of R&D

A leading, global manufacturer of electronics products are currently looking for a "Head of R&D", with previous experience in similar role (Engineering manager, R&D director, R&D manager).

You will be joining their established team based in Oxfordshire, heading up the team of R&D Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers.

The company develop specialist technologies within several industries and are internationally recognised as a leader within their field.

The R&D team are responsible for the design, development and production of new and existing products ensuring timely delivery for a global client base.

About the Role:

* Responsible for managing the team to ensure the delivery of NPI and PD projects through the product lifecycle from design/ design compliance to testing and production.

* Provide technical support at the highest level to our major customers and production partners and ensure that this is in place at all levels across the Group.

* Ensure that there are effective R&D systems, processes and documentation.

* You'll also be responsible for competitor research, keeping up to date with upgrades, component replacements.

Experience required:

* Significant R&D experience including existing and new product design, development and implementation.

* Proven track record of product implementation from concept to volume production (In house and out-sourced).

* Experience of managing a team.

* Understanding of international standards (EMC, UL, etc.)

* Experience of building and maintaining customer and supplier relationships.

* A technical understanding of electronics products and manufacturing process.

The salary on offer is competitive and flexible dependant on individual (up to £75,000) plus a great performance bonus and benefits package.
