Shop Floor Implementation Project Manager
Location - Derby with travel to Bristol and Leicestershire
6-9 months
Strong Project Manager with a depth of experience and a first-rate track record of project managing / technically solutioning, engineering shop floor projects.
Must apply UPM and adopt the Client's Service Introduction Checkpoint Processes. The Client will be testing such capability. The role will involve driving third parties hard to deliver to the plan and working with the Client shop floor production teams, and the Business to deliver the upgraded infrastructure services.
Reporting
The Project Manager reports to the Facilities IT Services Programme Manager.
Objectives
* Deliver client responsibilities on the project and any change controls for the project to time and budget
* Manage skilled and experienced resources including architects, onshore technical delivery resources and change and release management to carry out the required technology changes and transition to run through checkpoints. Manage external stakeholders including the client project manager, Ecosystem suppliers project managers for project plans and supplier dependencies and delivery of approved work
Responsibilities
* Manage the project to ensure it does not extend scope, cost or timescales without appropriate impact analyses, change controls and client approval
* Follow the DELIVER processes and UPM methodology for delivery of the project
* Lead the Ecosystem third party suppliers to meet the planned timescales and scope
* Own the project plan, reporting daily, weekly and monthly as required
* Manage and escalate as required risks and changes
* Day-to-day working with client project managers and Ecosystem supplier project managers for acceptance of project deliverables
* Responsible for acceptance from deliverables and transition to BAU teams
* Manage the quality gates to ensure entry and exit criteria are appropriate and met
* Manage DVI to a positive or breakeven result at the end of project, and accurate input to mid-month and month-end M review reporting for actuals, forecasts of resources, estimates to complete, variances and variances explanations
Deliverables
* High level and detailed project plans, progress and high level milestones updated at least once a week
* Inter-project plan dependencies are managed and updated at least weekly
* Managed risks, issues, change controls and escalations are updated at least once a week
* Acceptance of deliverables to a quality standard
* Managed DVI and input to actuals and forecast (estimate to complete) and variances against budget
