Project Manager

We are currently looking for both Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to join our growing meter operation business in Nottingham.

Deliver business projects from inception to close-down by leading and coordinating the relevant tasks, work packages, groups and individuals within business and partners/suppliers. Role may be focused on bid or delivery related work as required.

What are my responsibilities?

Manage projects in order to meet the agreed business objectives and seek innovative ways to expand the business derived from the project

Maintain customer relationship to achieve long term customer retention and satisfaction for growth potential

Establish project controls throughout the projects lifecycle meeting current corporate standards to protect the organisation and to deliver a successful project

Manage and maintain partner relationships with key suppliers to gain mutual and supportive benefits within the scope of the project

Lead and motivate the project teams for successful project delivery while supporting individual development needs in consultation with the line manager

Use and make available to others knowledge assets and resources to optimise the project cost to Siemens Metering Services

Understand the contract and pursue opportunities to facilitate change to increase revenue and reduce threats to improve financial performance

Mentor and support other project managers, or those developing their project management competence

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Working knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies and tools

Demonstrate evidence of completed and successful projects and management of staff on a project basis, throughout full project lifecycle

Ability to act independently and proactively

Ability to recognise and communicate opportunities for self and team to contribute to business success

Ability to shape business goals and objectives

Experience of managing daily challenges whilst understanding broader issues and without compromising long term objectives

Ability to build productive relationships with others and to build rapport with colleagues and customers to improve results

Experience of mobilising through range of external service providers, including operational offshore back office partners

Experience in working in cooperation with others to achieve goals and resolve difficult and sensitive situations and where there are conflicts of interest

Ability to develop a climate of cooperation and consultation

Prepared to travel. Hold full UK driving license

The role will be business focussed and individuals will need to have had good experience in delivering bid and operational projects, preferably with a utility metering background; including implementation of new business processes, applications development and systems integration. Ability to create business cases and see them through the governance cycle through to project delivery.

Experience of external partner management

Be able to demonstrate multiple successful full lifecycle project delivery.

Excellent stakeholder management skills

Project planning and tracking including good financial awareness

Experience of successfully managing third party suppliers within a project delivery
