IT Project Planner / Planning Analyst / Portfolio Planner
Location: Herefordshire
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
A leading Energy Supplier is looking for an experienced IT Project Planner / Planning Analyst / Portfolio Planner to join their team on a permanent basis.
The ideal IT Project Planner / Planning Analyst / Portfolio Planner will be responsible for:
* Proactively driving the production and maintenance of an integrated, baselined Portfolio plan.
* You will develop a critical path which is tracked through the integrated plan.
* You will actively manage key dependencies across the different programmes and projects of work, ensuring they are identified, logged and incorporated into detailed project / programme plans.
* Ensure application of agreed tools and techniques is adhered to across all projects and programmes.
* Carry out analysis of schedule variations
Essential skills:
* Experience as a programme/portfolio planner within a PMO environment
* Strong planning, financial controls, risk and issues management skills adept at driving forward change and challenging groups of programme teams and stakeholders
* Experience of programme/project/portfolio reporting to senior stakeholder and governance groups
* Must be a self-motivated and resilient individual able to act on their own initiative.
* Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the Programme and the scope of the sub projects /work streams and the appropriate planning requirements.
* Excellent Communication skills written and verbal - ability to communicate at the level to suit the audience
* Excellent organisational skills adopting a structured approach to tasks.
* Develop strong relationships with all change resources to ensure that they are meeting their commitments in line with agreed planning standards.
* Advanced user of Microsoft Project essential.
Desirable:
* Primavera P6 experience
* Advanced user of Microsoft Excel with experience of VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and Macros
