I am currently seeking a Patient Safety Manager to work in London on an interim basis for a 3 month period with a view to an extension. You will be required to do the following:

* Provide line management of the patient safety and experience team to ensure high quality investigations for serious incidents and patient safety incidents

* Support the Patient Safety Committee in this key role, in order to deliver the agenda to comply with the agreed work-plan and terms of reference

* Provide professional support to senior managers, nurses and allied health professionals in regards to patient safety and experience matters and act as panel member for the executive review group.

* Ensure that there is a systematic approach to enable Trust staff to report incidents, accidents and concerns in the roles that they have to highlight patient safety, staff safety, public safety, staff conduct and compliance to the Trusts policies.

* When required by their line manager, undertake impartial investigation lead duties for Patient Safety Incidents and so be skilled in investigation and report writing.

* Patient safety and quality of care should be central to each active decision made about service review and improvement activity.
