Excellent role on offer for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a role where you will play an instrumental part in the growth of this expanding, world leading business. You will work on technically interesting projects, have an extremely varied role whilst having the opportunity to be further developed to progress your career to become a technical expert.

Do you have 1 - 2 years post degree experience? Do you have experience with any of the following; metal and plastic materials, structural analysis, extrusion or fabrication? Do you have 3D design experience? Are you looking for a varied role where you will carry out the design, design for manufacture and working hands on carrying out the build of prototypes?

This long standing market leading company specialise in the design and manufacture of innovative products used within a range of sectors. They have just joined forces with a huge corporation who are looking to make this site their flag ship manufacturing facility and centre of excellence. They have just completed their site expansion and have installed 5 new production lines which has created 50 new jobs and an increase in their turnover by £10million. They have installed new automated machinery, carried out plant upgrades and up-skilled their staff and are now looking to recruit a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to take their products to the next level to ensure they maintain their competitive advantage.

This is a varied yet challenging role where you will ultimately be responsible for designing new products, improving existing designs, preparation of assembly drawings, preparation of detailed engineering drawings of parts and components, building of prototype products whilst identifying opportunities for design improvements.

This role would ideally suit a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer with 1-2 years' experience that is looking for a varied role whilst working for an expanding company that are going through an exciting transition where you will be at the forefront and therefore have the ability to implement changes and put your stamp on this role.

The Role:

* Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

* Design of new products and modification of existing products

* Preparation of assembly drawings

* Research and development

* Building Prototypes

* Overseeing the manufacture to specification

* £29,000 - £31,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Excellent Training + Progression

The Person:

* Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

* Must have experience of 3D Design - Ideally Solidworks however training can be provided

* Must have 1-2 years industry experience of Design in a manufacturing environment

* Hands on practical skills

* Must live a commutable distance to Maldon or serious about relocating to the surrounding area
