What you’ll be doing:

It’s an exciting time to join our client and you will be at the centre of a new chapter for e-commerce. You will help deliver the ambitious roadmap and architecture of their new website and mobile application.

As a UI Designer, you will be creating and developing the visual design for new and existing digital products, working extremely closely with the UX Designer and development team, to create user experiences that exceed customer expectations, are highly engaging and look beautiful.

You will have an eye for clean artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able translate high level UX interaction flows, transforming them into intuitive user interfaces.

This is a permanent role. You will work 40 hours a week Monday to Friday, based out of our client’s farm near Buckfastleigh in Devon.

Your responsibilities:

Every day will pose a new design challenge, and you’ll be working with some of the best in the business. This is how you’ll fit into the team:

- Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience

- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering

- Develop rewarding working relationships with UX, development, creative and other key teams

- Be passionate about new technology and emerging UI trends and advocate their use

- Help to support the multi variant testing program and seek to drive incremental revenue wherever possible

- Champion a user-centred design methodology

- Find new ways to add value to and leverage the wealth of content through design

- Establish and promote digital design guidelines, best practices and standards

Skills & experience:

You will be front and centre in the development of our client’s digital visual style, and they want it to be amazing! To do this you will need:

- Proven UI experience either through a solid degree in a design subject or proven experience in the industry

- Exceptional portfolio - you will have delivered impact through design across a range of products and services

- Experience of working in a cross-discipline team environment

- Passion for interface design and interaction

- Strong attention to detail

- Appreciation of user-centred design

- Competency with relevant creative tools (Adobe CS, Sketch, Framer)

- Experience of designing for multiple platforms (Desktop, Mobile & Tablet web/apps)

- Understanding of responsive or adaptive design methods

- Understanding & some experience of using prototyping tools (eg. Pixate, Invision App, Marvel, Flinto, framer etc)

- Ideally experience of working in an Agile/Scrum development process
