Linux System Administrator - Bash, CLI, DNS, TCP/IP, Open Source Tools

Up to £70,000 (Dependent on experience)

This is a REMOTE WORKING role / working from home with a monthly UK team meet up in London WITH occasional travel to the US

The Company: Slicker than your average Internet Security firm and operating globally for nearly 20 years in the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) industry, this celebrated company have offices around the world and require a Linux System Administrator experienced in Bash, CLI, DNS, TCP/IP and Open Source tools to name a few. Having partnered with some of the world's biggest names in pretty much every corner of the planet, they offer a number of services, both public and private, for the benefit and safety of the Internet community and provide super detailed insights along with bespoke solutions for organisations who belong in our daily lives, to pinpoint and eliminate threats within their respectable networks.

The Role: The successful Linux System Administrator experienced in Bash, CLI, DNS, TCP/IP and Open Source tools will help with the maintenance and running of the global network and data processing center as well as supporting the UK team for daily break-fix, trouble-shooting and user support issues. The successful Linux System Administrator experienced in Bash, CLI, DNS, TCP/IP and Open Source tools will help with the maintenance of daily operations such as backup, monitoring and reporting systems. The successful Linux System Administrator experienced in Bash, CLI, DNS, TCP/IP and Open Source tools will work in a fast-paced environment and always be prepared to meet SLAs to ensure timely root cause analysis & resolution of support issues. The successful Linux System Administrator experienced in Bash, CLI, DNS, TCP/IP and Open Source tools will be the sole UK Administrator and work with the US team on multiple projects on a quarterly basis; occasional travel to the US will be required.

Required Skills / Experience:

* At least 2 years' proven experience in Linux System Administration with strong ability in CLI (Command Line Interface)

* Strong abilities in troubleshooting Linux and basic network issues

* Comfortable with installing and using open source tools and applications

* Good knowledge of DNS or VPN

* Have a good understanding of Dell, Cisco, and Apple hardware

* Solid skills in Bash - any experience in Python or Perl is desirable

* Certification in Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) is highly desirable
