IT Support & Field Engineer - Rapidly-Growing Business 

Carshalton, Surrey (office/field based, with travel to sites throughout Carshalton and the surrounding area)

£22,000 - £25,000 Plus Potential to Earn Commission, Mileage Allowance, 20 Days' Holiday + Public Holidays

If you are a proactive helpdesk or field-based server support professional, this is a superb opportunity to progress your IT career with a Microsoft Silver Partner. 

Formed in 1995, our client has grown into a highly-respected IT service and support company looking after small and medium sized businesses in the South East of England. They are now looking for an IT Support & Field Engineer to join their team. 

With a strong focus on continuous improvement, our client will provide you with on-the-job-training for new and emerging technologies to ensure that your knowledge is always up-to-date. 

As an IT Support & Field Engineer, you will provide a high level of support to customers, both remotely and on-site. 

Providing support to a range of SMEs, you will communicate with customers in a professional, friendly manner and ensure that issues are swiftly resolved. 

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

- Experience of working in a helpdesk support and/or field-based server support role, dealing with router configuration and management

- A full, valid driving licence and, ideally, access to your own vehicle 

Experience of using the following technologies is also essential: 

- MS Office 365

- MS Windows Server

- Windows 7, 8 and 10 

Professional and organised, as an IT Support & Field Engineer, you will have excellent communication skills. A pragmatic approach to problem-solving is key, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  

Ideally, you will have at least one year’s experience in a field-based role, fixing server issues. Although not essential, a good understanding of Ethernet cabling, installation and management would also be an advantage.
