HEAD OF OPERATIONS, (Energy and Utilities) North London

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

An experienced Head of Operations is required to join a young and growing Energy Retailer on a permanent basis in North London. The successful candidate will have evidence of having built cross-functional teams in an Energy or Utilities retail business and must be able to motivate and inspire teams, helping to create a positive atmosphere in the office. Proof of having worked under pressure and having good problem solving skills will be a great advantage to candidates in their applications.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

* Must have experience working in a Head of Operations role or similar in the Energy and Utilities industry (Operations Director or possibly a Senior Ops Manager)

* Must have an in-depth knowledge of the UK Utilities industry including areas such as Customer Journey, Billing, Settlements, Collections, Managing 3rd party agents, Strategy etc.

* Strong ability to positively inspire, motivate, train and collaborate with team members and bring together the Sales and Operations function of the business

* Must be able to cope under pressure and be prepared to work hard for a younger business

* Superlative Communication skills are a key to this role

Desirable Skills

* Ability to think 'outside of the box' and tackle problems with a different approach

* Ideally 5+ years' experience working in a Senior Operations Managerial position

* Experience managing the transition of a small business into a larger business and understanding a good strategic approach to approach this

Day to day role:

As Head of Operations, you must be prepared to work very hard in order to design and re-design the necessary processes of an Operational Energy Retail Business. Building cross-functional teams within the business, your job will be to train, motivate and inspire teams who will look after the business's Customer Journey, Billing and Collections Department, Settlements and more, bringing together the Sales and Operations teams to help grow the business from a smaller Energy Retail Business into a larger organisation.
