Risk and LFE Controller, FTSE 100 Organisation - £Competitive Salary + Benefits + Exceptional career progression.

I am recruiting a Risk and LFE Controller on behalf of a FTSE 100 Engineering Organisation. This particular role functions within their marine and technology division and provides through-life engineering support to the Royal Navy.

The successful Risk and LFE Controller will be responsible for supporting Fleet Project Managers deliver projects within the required safety standards, time, cost and quality targets through the provision of specialist risk management function and project LFE capture and reviews.

In line with Group's Project Delivery Framework (PDF) and the Fleet Programmes Stage and Gate process, the post holder will be responsible for developing, maintaining and control Fleet Programme's PMO Learning from experience process. This includes the capture of lessons learnt throughout the project lifecycle and conducting reviews of previous LFE with project teams in the early stages of breaking out project maintenance requirements.

To provide risk management support by the development, implementation and maintenance of the Risk Management Plan and co-ordinating the completion of the Risk Register for Fleet Major Projects through their life cycle

Main Purpose of Role

* As the prime point of contact for lessons learnt, develop, own and maintain a multi stakeholder lessons learnt database and in line with the PDF process and Stage and Gate timelines, conduct project reviews to capture lessons learnt

* To make recommendations to the Project Controls Manager and SM Programmes Manager for all aspects of learning from experience and the learning from experience process

* To coordinate risk interviews / workshops with key stakeholders, including subcontractors to capture accurate risk information

* To Co-ordinate an issue/risk reports on behalf of the project managers, covering all major issues, Significant Risks and to review/report issues associated with project activities for inclusion in formal project reports

* To develop and allocate Risk mitigation actions and management their update and close out

* Lead, influence and provide guidance to project teams on the completion of risk registers and capture of lessons learnt

* Close liaison with the Senior Scheduler to assist development of probabilistic schedule risk analysis and cost risk analysis (TRA) in order to highlight impact to schedule and cost of risk mitigation

* Ensure historical learnings are incorporated in all new projects by inclusion of an LFE review in the early stages of project initiation and that learnings are incorporated into maintenance templates / job plans

Applicants will be/have knowledge of:

* Complex Fleet Programmes Project Management procedures and processes

* Excels and proven experience in Risk Management techniques

* Competent in programme Management techniques

* Governance, policy and procedures

* Fleet Ops MSDF contract requirements / QMAC

* Communicate at all levels, building constructive and effective relationships to achieve results. Overcoming objections and resistance to change is a key part of this role

* Planning Estimating and Production System (PEPS)

* Quality Systems (iso 9001 standards)

* Business Processes (Fleet Planning, IBP, Procurement, Finance and Commercial).

* Customer systems and processes (RDAR, UMMS, SDD, SDD, Trilogy, CWE, Survey)
