Job Title: Junior Front-end Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £20,000 - £28,000

Job Description

Our client is a fast growing and award winning company based in London's Tech City, Shoreditch. Client care is a priority for them and they're recruiting to build on an established Customer Service team. As a Junior Front-end Engineer you will work closely with Project Managers to set up and optimise client campaigns. You will be responsible for timely and smooth delivery of the company's services and the optimisation of those services to maximise results for their clients.

They are seeking an adaptable and able Junior to support our team of experienced Engineers. You will be involved in support tasks, some basic enhancements and eventually mainstream development. You will likely be Degree educated (Computer Science or Software Development related), have web development experience, and have a solid understanding of the principles of web application design. The following skills are applicable to the role, although not all are essential: HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, (AJAX, Prototype, jQuery), SQL, JSP, PHP, Perl, JAVA. The successful candidate will be a confident, self-motivated individual who will enjoy working within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications:

* You will hold a Computer Science / programming-related degree

Experience:

* You will have 1-2 years' experience in a similar role

* You will have strong JavascriptHTML programming skills

* You have experience with Git and source control tools

* You have been able to gain first insights into HTML 5, CSS, and Web standards

* You are a highly-motivated team player
