Project Engineer (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering): Runcorn: Up to £45k

Huxley Engineering and a Global Name in Materials Production & Manufacture are looking to recruit a Project Engineer on a 2.5 year Fixed Term Contract basis for their large Production facility in the Runcorn / Speke area, due to a large £5m Capital Programme of Works coming up for the site in 2018 - 2019.

Reporting into the Projects Team Manager, the role of the Project Engineer will be critical to the delivery of the capital programme of works and will be responsible for the following:

* Project Engineer with take responsibility from feasibility through specification, capex justification, machinery sourcing, installation and commissioning.

* Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans

* Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.

* Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards, completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates

* Determining project schedules, sequencing of works and progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems

* Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions

* Contract project costs .

* Preparing project reports

* Compliance with HSE regulations and necessary Legislation on projects

Specifically, my client is looking for a Project Engineer who is:

* Degree educated in either Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

* Previous experience of capital project delivery in a Manufacturing, Engineering, Production or Industrial Process environment (FMCG, Chemical Industry or similar manufacturing environment Project Management experience preferred

* Previous experience of Project Management Software (Primvera or MS Project)

* Good IT skills, especially Excel for data analysis

* Project Management qualifications PMP or Prince 2

* IOSH / NEBOSH (Optional)

For the successful Project Engineer, a salary up to £45,000 plus benefits is on offer and this Project Engineer role is commutable from Chester, Liverpool, Warrington, South Manchester, Runcorn, Widnes, Northwich, Speke, St Helens and Crewe.
