Credit Controller

Our client is a FTSE 250 listed company based in London, and are looking to recruit a French speaking credit controller to cover their Belgian clients. This role will start as a temporary one with the aim of transitioning into a permanent one.

The key element of the credit controller role will be to contact customers by phone, email and letter to finalise the collection of outstanding debt. Whilst experience in credit control is necessary, our client is very willing to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate if they have only been in the industry a short amount of time. This is a great opportunity for both experienced credit controllers, and ones forging their way in the industry.

Job duties:

* Working with sales ledger to allocate payments received

* Monitor outstanding balance against set credit limit

* Maintain accurate records and updating call log notes.

* Ensure regional tax compliance and reduce exposure to withholding tax issues

* Respond to daily account queries and timely closure of control issues, customer's claims and disputes

* Process rebates. and manage payment terms in accordance with agreed process

Skills required:

* Fluent French speaker with a good level of English

* 1-2 years credit control experience minimum

* Highly numerate

* Experience with Microsoft Excel

* Ability to think on your feet and be flexible

* Good verbal and written communicator

The client is offering an initial salary of circa £22 per hour depending on experience, which will transition into circa £30,000 per annum, if candidate is taken on permanently. In addition to this the role has great benefits, including a quarterly bonus scheme in place based on collection levels.
