My client in the engineering sector based in Hampshire is urgently looking for a freelance drainage engineer and a freelance drainage technician to join their engineering team on a 6 month freelance contract basis with extensions probable. The position will be working on a number of key highway projects. The successful candidate will be expected to work a 40 hour week and the rate on offer is dependent on the candidate's experience.
The role of the drainage engineer will consist of:
* Developing the drainage schemes for highways
* Collating data on drainage issues
* Presenting the data
* Value management
The role of the drainage technician will be to support the drainage engineer in his functions.
The essential skills required for the Drainage engineer position are:
* Microdrainage software package (preferably windes)
* HAWRAT (Highways Agency Water Risk Assesment Tool)
* Highways drainage schemes experience
The beneficial skills are:
* Highways England commissions/ drainage schemes
The drainage technician should have a HNC qualification.
