Business Data Analyst - BCBS 239

My client, a leading UK Bank, are looking for a BCBS Risk Data Systems Analyst to work out of their Edinburgh offices on a long-term contract basis.

The BCBS Risk Data Systems Analyst is required to work in the Commercial Banking Risk (CBR) Strategy & Oversight team, who are tasked with the delivery and embedding of BCBS239 compliance against the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's 11 Principles for Effective Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting.

* You'll have attention to detail and the ability to escalate issues in a timely manner

* You'll enjoy interacting at all levels and across different audiences and have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Role Specific Information

* Knowledge of CBR Systems, its data, our business, policies and processes is highly desirable

* Knowledge of agreements: Service level (SLA), Operational Level (OLA), Data Supply / Service (DSA)

* Preparation of Data Warehouse controls documentation

* Identify enhancement opportunities to processes, working practices and systems in order to achieve operational improvement / simplification

* Support the ongoing activities relating to compliance as required, e.g. External Data Principles (BCBS 239), Internal Data Principles

Skills

* Good data analysis, interpretation and analysis

* Understand Data Quality Issue management, including providing recommendations to remediate

* Ownership, flexible approach to delivery and to timescale

* Understand and articulate risk and control frameworks

* Identify and articulate operational inefficiencies

* Excellent stakeholder management skills

* Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal
