Senior Security Analyst - Financial Services

The role: Senior Security Analyst

You will act as a technical lead within the business, leading the response effort for critical incidents in the enterprise environment. As part of a team of people you will mentor other members of the team and share your expertise to improve resilience and improve the security service delivered to the business. Building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across the business in a clear concise manner will be a big part of this role, along with detailed analysis of incidents and the implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities include:

*Take a lead on investigation of cyber security incidents and threats

*Enhance existing incident response methods, tools, and processes

*Train and mentor junior Security Analysts

*Improve the detection, escalation, containment and resolution of incidents

*Maintain expert-level knowledge of technologies and the threat landscape

Your skills and experience will include:

Essential:

*Experience of an operational environment such as a SOC

*Excellent writing and presentation skills are required in order to communicate findings and recommendations and provide status on on-going investigations

*Experience with security products and technologies, especially related to event and incident handling

*Incident Response work flow development and automation

*Deep understanding of TCP/IP, common application-layer protocols and network architecture within an enterprise environment
