Role: SAS Technical Manager

Salary: £52,000 - £79,000

Location: Birmingham

I am currently recruiting for a SAS Technical Manager to work for a market leading company in Birmingham.

Job Scope:

* Manage the implementation of development & improvement to all SAS processes to support business project activity

* Work in line with release management strategy around code management and deployment

* Manage the production of technical specifications and the subsequent build activity to support the design

* Work with the Test Lead to deliver the build into the test phase ensuring all entry/exit criteria met

Experience / Skill Set:

* Proven track record in delivering IT led change to budget and within defined time constraints

* Practical experience of release/configuration management coupled with a background in software development

* Experience of source code management across multiple streams of parallel development

* Prince2 qualified to Practitioner level

* Experience of working to Prince2/ITIL methodologies in delivering change

* Experienced SAS programming skills (v9 or higher)

* Excel, Access, Foxpro, MS Visio

* Proven line management experience

* Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical concepts via written reports

* Competencies covering teamwork, results and quality orientation, integrity, adaptability, innovation, forward thinking decision making and continuous improvement.

* Extensive experience & knowledge of UK Life & Pensions industry
