With a balanced portfolio of SAP Hybris Implementation Projects, Programmes and Application Management Services and through the acquisition of new brands and expansion of existing accounts Cognizant have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced SAP Hybris Architect.

Job Summary:

The hybris developer is involved in development, testing, and support, providing strong development capability working alongside an experienced hybris development team. The candidate must have solid technical ability in Hybris Commerce accelerators and knowledge of SAP hybris features. Working on Hybris B2B development projects in an agile environment and on AWS cloud infrastructure is desired. Ensure that quality practices are embedded early and delivery of the onsite SAP Hybris solution(s) as per the client contract agreed by Cognizant. Fluency in English is a must with experience of working with offshore teams highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver world-class eCommerce B2B proposition for our UK/Global client

* Work with the rest of our offshore development team

* Implementing high quality, scalable and extendable JAVA solutions

* Ability to work in a team environment delivering quality software that meets requirements working to a timeline

* Liaising with the tech lead to focus on delivering MVP and being aware of critical path deliverables

* Planning and implementation of new features and improvements of existing ones

* Coding and testing new web pages and functionality

* Providing regular support to development bugs and fixes

* Be a self-starter and recognize when issues need to be raised

* Manage technical aspects of the transition of the solution into a production environment

* Developing Java/Spring based software that extends the hybris platform to provide web/mobile applications and integrations with other systems

* Strong focus on high quality throughout the entire development process, working closely with the Quality Assurance teams

Requirements of the Role:

* Solid experience of Hands-on hybris development on version 6.x, within a B2B environment

* Proven experience in Java development in a commercial environment developing high volume transactional web sites

* Hands-on development experience of the hybris Commerce Suite including its various ancillary business tools and Accelerators (B2B)

* Java / J2EE Programming experience

* Programming experience in EJB, JSP, XML, OR SQL

* Knowledge of web services, Javascript or Jboss application server

* Knowledge of Hibernate, Spring, Struts

* Life Sciences B2B eCommerce experience desirable.

* Troubleshooting through resolution of technical issues and system errors

* Experience with Producing and Consuming REST Web Services

* Agile mindset with Scrum/Kanban experience, TDD and Continuous Integration and Delivery

* Experience with development tools like GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins etc.

* Good knowledge of tools like Junit, Selenium + mocking tools like Spock/Mockito

* Experience with high volume traffic and performance optimisation on Hybris

* Ability to work directly with clients and handle complicated communication in a structured way
