PMO Manager

PMO Manager / Portfolio Management / Change Management / Prince 2 / P30 / Permanent / Warwickshire / West Midlands

Market leading client based in Warwickshire are looking for an experienced PMO Manager to join the Change team at their Head Office.

The PMO Manager will establish, lead, develop and deliver PMO services and the PMO Analyst team. You will provide PMO expertise to large change programmes on behalf of the Enterprise PMO and drive contribution to the development and continuous improvement of the Enterprise PMO Service.

Key responsibilities:

*Establish, promote and ensure the adoption of the Change and Governance frameworks, tools and processes on the programme.

*Lead programme reviews to provide oversight and scrutiny to ensure that outputs and key decisions are aligned to practices and to assure programme delivery.

*Establish, manage and maintain an effective standardised reporting framework for the programme which adheres to Enterprise PMO standards and the wider reporting schedule.

*Advise and guide the programme on the management of key internal/external service providers, ensuring commercial arrangements are understood and factored appropriately into the programme's operation.

*Lead, oversee, monitor and drive improvements through appropriate programme and project controls which are aligned to best practice standards across all areas of the programme.

*Work with the Programme Manager to establish resource forecasts and manage resource requirements for the programme.

*Build and maintain relationships with business leaders, sponsors and key internal stakeholders, influencing and identifying/ resolving issues between stakeholder groups and individuals.

*Lead, manage, inspire and develop direct reports so that they know what is expected, are able to maximise their contribution and realise their potential.

Key skills and experience:

*Experience of large transformation projects (over £1million), going through the entire project life cycle

*Demonstrable experience of working in a Portfolio Management/ Change Management Office

*Expert knowledge of project management and planning processes and techniques

*Experience of leading and managing a team is essential

*Ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders at all levels is essential

*Proven ability to work well under timeframe pressure, handling multiple tasks/initiatives simultaneously.

*Good commercial awareness and communication skills

*P3O (Portfolio, Programme and Projects Offices) and PRINCE2 are essential (or willingness to work towards)
