Nuclear Skills Manager - Plymouth
An FTSE 100 company is currently recruiting for a Nuclear Skills Manager to take on a permanent position asap. The company is highly regarded for its employee recognition and vital position in today's market place. The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
* Lead the development of radiological and nuclear training programmes as required by the Nuclear Training Development Plan and in accordance with Training Quality Management System.
* To co-ordinate resources within his/her area of responsibility and co-ordinate business engagement to deliver the Nuclear Training Development Plan to cost, time and quality.
* Line manage Practitioners as required to fulfil tasking within the Nuclear Training Development Plan
* Act as the Intelligent Customer for outsourced training analysis, design and development solutions, ensuring that training, safety and behavioural standards are maintained.
* Manage Health & Safety matters and promote a 'Home Safe Every Day' culture in his/her area of influence
The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience:
* Educated to bachelor's degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
* Eligible for SC Clearance (essential)
* Demonstrable evidence of application of a systematic approach to training in a high-hazard regulatory environment
* Demonstrable data gathering and analysis skills
* Experienced in interview and facilitation skills
* Evidence of the application of training design through a variety of methods and media
* Strong communicator at all levels in the business with demonstrable report writing skills
* Experience of the planning of simple projects and the application of project control skills
