Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Release Analyst for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of c.£350-£400/day.

Responsibilities:

* Coordination and planning of project releases through environments to Production, ensuring no clashes with resource or other deliveries inflight, ensuring technical dependencies are known and in place.

* Enforce release governance and assist with education of projects in process as part of engagement.

* Coordinate and chair release/deployment checkpoints to assess releases being deployed to the non-live environments.

* Analysis of programme and project plans to conduct adequate release planning activities.

* Coordinate/deploy releases to test regions and production for a variety of different technologies.

* Reviewing and approving of documentation relating to live releases; test completion reports, implementation plans, release notes, service transition plans/documents and ensuring the relevant sign offs are in place before go live.

* Create and update release documentation related to project deliveries, creation of implementation plans.

* Ensure relevant tracking and planning is carried out and up to date so that environment baselines are known and all milestone dates are available and up to date.

Essential skills/experience:

* Significant Release Management experience.

* Experience of working in a fast paced environment using waterfall.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable experience:

* Exposure to agile delivery methodologies.

* Microsoft technologies.

* SQL & Ingres DB's.

* Java.

* Experience of using TFS and Git for deployments & source control.
