Job Title: IT Firewall Administrator

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits (Salary dependent on experience)

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for administering and maintaining the technology infrastructure.

Accountabilities

* Perform daily maintenance and upgrades on the Firewall/Security services within the different Vitality Branches, and multiple data centres within the UK/Internationally

* Administer and configure Palo Alto Firewall devices

* Administer and configure Cisco ASA Firewalls

* Administer and configure Juniper Check Point Firewalls

* Deploy cloud strategy connectivity services

* VPN service solution/ administration and support

* Administer Load Balancing solutions (F5's LTM/GTM) And Linux LVS Load Balancing

* Manage security lifecycle

* Manage security policies and governance

* Develop and assist in Data Centre consolidations

* Develop and implement new solutions based on a wide variety of different

* technologies

* Collaborative, communicate and assist IT teams locally and internationally

* Optimizing service improvements within the infrastructure

* Deploy cloud strategy connectivity (Interconnectivity cloud exchange)

* Remote infrastructure support-troubleshooting / Interact with remote Smart hands

* Capacity management/ Reporting within the infrastructure, including monitoring and alerting

* Vendor support and management / 3rd party partners

* IP address management

* Cloud Services, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity connectivity design

Skills Required

* A Level or equivalent

* Palo Alto Security Engineer Certification (PCNSE)

* Cisco certification in security devices (CCSP)

* Extensive knowledge of implementing, configuring and supporting security firewalls (Palo Alto and Cisco)

* Knowledge of configuring and supporting Juniper Check Point Firewalls

* knowledge of implementing, configuring and supporting F5 devices (LTM's and GTM's) including LVS load balancing

* knowledge of implementing, configuring and supporting VPN technologies

* Knowledge of web related technologies (Apache, IIS)

* In-Depth troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis

* Extensive knowledge in Linux Redhat

* Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure services

Essential Experience

* Managing and supporting a multi datacentre, multi geographic infrastructure including cloud technologies

* Proven experience with Cisco technologies

* Proven experience with Palo Alto Firewalls/Cisco

* Experience in two factor authentication

* Experience in remote access/VPN solutions

* Working within an ITIL governance framework for Problem, Change and Incident management

* Management of third party suppliers

* Service Improvement planning and execution

* Capacity, performance and availability reporting

Essential Skills

* Good communication skills back to key stakeholders

* Ability to work under pressure with demanding timescales

* Ability to work in a collaborative environment with other technical disciplines

* Ability to produce and maintain high quality design, process and procedure documentation

* Ability to develop and manage service metrics and reporting

Desirable Knowledge, Experience and Skills

* Degree in an IT related subject

* ITIL V2/V3 foundation certificate

* RHEC or equivalent

* Understanding of LDAP/DHCP, DNS, SMTP

* Splunk reporting tools

* Experiencing working in AWS/Azure and O365 services

* Knowledge of Packet capture analytical tools
