Are you an experienced Tester who's led a team? Would you be able to promote automated testing within a city centre-based organisation who want to move down the DevOps route? This could be the Lead Tester opportunity for you…

This business have invested vastly over the last ten years and are delivering numerous enterprise-scale, greenfield and brownfield development projects this year alone. You will spend part of your time in a pure line management role leading 5 Testers.

The majority of your role will be technical, both overseeing the testing process on a day-to-day basis as well as hands-on testing yourself from time to time. It's a small team with a large number of projects so you'll be the kind of senior Tester who still likes to keep their hand in.

As well as bringing your leadership talents to the table the automation side is equally as important. You'll be able to build capability within the team for creating automated functional tests. We don't need you to have implemented an automated test strategy from scratch but we're ideally looking for experience of using automated tools in an enterprise environment.

You'll be the kind of Lead Tester who thrives in a trust-based culture - you don't like micro managing!

Salary is £35-40k plus 28 days' holiday, flexible working hours, on-site parking if you get there early enough and discounted rates at nearby NCPs. Of course being in the city centre you can easily commute by bus, tram or cycle.

Based in the city centre this role is commutable from Derby, Burton, Newark, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Lincoln, Leicester, Loughborough.
