Seeking a bright, enthusiastic QA Tester to ensure the quality of their flagship high performance multi-threaded trading application. As a QA Tester you will test newly developed software, existing software upgrades and deployments to ensure quality is maintained to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

Work within the Quality Assurance team to test new functionality, as well as regression testing a multitude of different software applications

Converse directly with the Business and IT teams to ensure suitable understanding of requirements and required test coverage

Raise and manage any defects identified throughout the software development life cycle

Contribute to the Group Quality Assurance strategy

Work as part of an Agile/Scrum development team

Criteria

Experience and Skills

Understanding of testing methodologies and their application, including UAT and System Testing

Energetic and analytical approach to problem solving

Is able to use necessary tools to debug problems with the software

Ability to demonstrate understanding of software testing techniques

Basic Java programming skills

Can write BDD statements for feature files

Android, iOS, HTML5 cross-platform testing experience

HTTP, REST API integration testing

Web debugging tools - Developer tools, Charles, Fiddler

SQL fundamentals

Is able to identify which tests should be automated in the test pyramid

Good communication skills

Desirable:

ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Certified

Experience of iterative/agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP etc.)

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Friendly and approachable manner

"Can-do" attitude

Self-starter and very organized

Innovative and thinks outside the box

Interest in Automation, QA, financial markets, trading and a willingness to learn more about them

Degree level education (in relevant/related subject)

Desirable:

Knowledge of financial industry, especially CFDs, Equities, FX and Futures

Previous automation experience on a trading platform
