The company is now looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their IT team based at their head office in Clapham Junction, London. You will act as the business partner for IT for a designated business area including defining requirements and managing demand; capture and document business requirements; defining system change requirements and help design and deliver system changes to meet the business requirements. You will be managing small /medium IT projects end-to-end.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Working closely with a specific business area to define requirements and documenting them in Business Requirement Specifications, Requests for Work and Project Initiation Documents.

* Acting as the IT business partner for the defined business area for all aspects of IT other than Service.

* Analysing and designing business processes for the designated area.

* Designing, documenting and maintaining system processes to meet business requirements.

* Feeding in future IT demand into IT Portfolio Management.

* Managing small/end IT Projects end-to-end from requirements to go-live - using the standard project management processes and disciplines.

* Working with IT Testing on the definition of the testing required and with users on User Acceptance Testing including high level script definition.

* Producing project and progress reporting.

* Working with the business to define necessary training and implementation.

* Where necessary, work with users to define business cases and suppliers to meet the business requirements.

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

* Skills for the Information Age (SFIA) level 4 or 5 in Business Analysis (at level of International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent) with experience.

* Good Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

* Good communication skills.

* Good UML or equivalent modelling techniques skills and experience.

* Good knowledge of project management techniques.

* Experience of working in a retail environment and of retail business processes.

* Knowledge of the IT project lifecycle.

* Knowledge of IT Portfolio Management.
