Electrical Maintenance Engineer Role: Clitheroe - Up to £39k + Callout Uplift + Package

Huxley Engineering and a Global £Multi-Billion name in the Heavy Materials Process Industry are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out maintenance and repair operations specialising in the packing equipment in accordance with the operational and maintenance plan / budget, improving reliability/ efficiency and availability of the plant and machinery achieving the lowest effective maintenance costs for all equipment, in addition with other areas on site when deemed necessary.

Based in Clitheroe (Lancashire), this large site has seen significant investment in capital and people over the last 3 years and is set to receive an additional £20m of Capital Investment in 2017/18 and my client are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to provide electrical repair, maintenance skills including fault analysis and identification to facilitate repairs, improvement and or inspections to set standards.

Key Accountabilities for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

LV/HV Installations

* IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (2001 Edition) - design, install and test

* Fault level analysis and capability to specify and set fuse sizes, feeder over current and transformer residual earth fault protection

* Work with HV and LV switchgear, cable and transformer system inspection and test regimes

* Drive Installations

* AC/DC motor installation, including understanding of machine operational parameters, i.e. duty types

* Work with slip ring and squirrel cage induction motors, i.e. liquid starters to rotor/stator, soft start.

* Working knowledge of variable speed drive technologies, inspection set up and repair

* Understanding of motor vibration for roller and sleeve bearing systems

Instrumentation Systems

* Working knowledge of electrical packaging systems e.g. Haver and Arodo or similar

* Working knowledge of process instrumentation and calibration of, e.g. load cells for weigh systems, level control devices, PID controllers, etc.

Control and Safety Systems

* Understand The Provision Use Works Equipment Regulations (1992)

* Work with safety critical control systems and associated interlocks (electrical [Pilz] and mechanical [Castel/Fortress])

* Where applicable understand programming/fault rectification on PLC systems associated with works, e.g. Allen Bradley SLC/PLC5/Control Logix, Siemens S5/S7, Modicon, etc and associated top level SCADA

* Assist in implementation of capital projects from conception to hand over of a working system.

Qualification-wise, my client are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with the following qualifications & experience:

* City & Guilds / ONC / HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Field

* Electrical Maintenance Engineering Experience within engineering department of a continuous process industry

* Qualified to work on HV/LV systems.

* Ideally possess cross-functional understanding of Mechanical issues.

For the successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer , a salary of up to £39,000 + package + Uplift (as this Electrical Maintenance Engineer role is days-based, but will be on callout 1 week in 4).
