Field Service Engineer to join a small team commissioning, installing, maintaining electronic systems used in the transportation industry. This role offers additional pay for early, late and on call working as well as a daily shift allowance. A comprehensive breakdown is available on request.
Specific Job Requirements:
1. Installation of equipment (e.g. for ticketing, AVL and RTPI ) in buses, trams and light rails as well as on associated wayside platforms
2. System monitoring as well as remote and on-site diagnostics / troubleshooting
3. Excellent skills in Repair on component level and technical maintenance
4. Commissioning
5. Liaising & training of customer's operational staff
6. Ability to produce detailed work protocols for reporting purposes
7. Expertise in computer systems and electronics, as well as related cabling and technical drawings
8. Candidate will work on-site at multiple locations within UK
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Relevant degree in Electronics, Electrical or System Engineering, or equivalent
2. Solid practical experience with experience in a similar environment
3. G39 - Working in the Vicinity of DNO Equipment (desirable)
4. CSCS card and PTS Personal Track Safety (desirable)
5. Computer literacy, ideally proficient in office tools (e.g. MS-office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
6. Candidate will work on-site at multiple locations within UK
7. Must be Willing to travel - domestic and international
8. Valid UK/EU driving license
9. Successful candidates must undergo CRB check for Basic Disclosure Scotland
