Nigel Frank International are currently recruiting for a Database Engineer to join an industry leading business based in Canary Wharf, London. The role will be a combination of DBA, Development and Engineering across custom SAP (Sybase) ASE server architecture.

You will be required to work on various database related infrastructure / automation projects that will require the development/maintenance of modules/scripts using Perl/Ksh.

Skills Required:

- Experience of delivering Python based solutions for large scale mission critical production infrastructures, including writing web APIS / services and database connectivity.

- Strong Unix shell scripting (in particular Korn Shell)

- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with our existing Perl/ ksh based infrastructure

Technical Background Required:

- DBA experience using Sybase 15.x+

- Sybase Replication Server

- DBA experience of any other RDBMS

- Perl scripting

- A good understanding of Linux RH (5,6,7) a would be advantageous.

- T-SQL knowledge

- Ability to work to fixed deadlines

- Excellent communication skills (including strong written and spoken English)
