A Desktop Support Engineer role has arisen for you to join a first class Hedge fund.

This role as a Desktop Support Engineer is an excellent opportunity for you to enter this very successful Hedge Fund, who have a very team orientated approach to support. This approach has proven to be very successful and they are looking for you to have a proactive attitude. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be able to work autonomously when you like, but also be secure in knowing that the rest of the team will be able to assist when needed. Having a truly global strategy, you will be involved with supporting many different locations.

On a technical level you as the Desktop Support Engineer will be working within a Window and Linux/UNIX environment, and be troubleshooting productivity suits, market data applications, mobile computing, virtual desktop applications like Citrix, and networking solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has these core skills to move into a banking and finance environment and/or for a seasoned banking and finance Desktop Support Engineer to move into a prestigious Hedge Fund.

Key skills:

Windows/Linux/Unix platform knowledge

Experience with Helpdesk/Desktop/Mobile support

UNIX - Power shell scripting is a strong advantage

Pro-active, can do attitude
