Project Brief

On behalf of our undisclosed client operating within the Defence and Security sector, Capita is managing a major recruitment drive to recruit between 5 - 10 ambitious and highly talented Project Support Officers to join a busy Project Support team within a fast-paced environment.

Currently we have several cutting edge transformation and change projects taking place for which we need dedicated support from experienced project support officers and co-ordinators.

These roles are contract positions based in Central London with the opportunity to be sponsored for DV Clearance, provided you meet the strict eligibility criteria to undergo the security clearance process.

** Please note that the DV clearance process can take on average 9 - 12 months to complete before you are allowed to work client site and we cannot confirm a start date until this process have been completed **

Experience/Qualifications

* A proven track record of providing support to projects

* Prince 2 qualified

* Experienced in applying appropriate and differing methodologies/techniques to aid projects and maximise delivery success

* Experience of using project tools (i.e. MS Projects, Primavera, etc.)

* General administrative skills including the use of MS packages

Planning/Organisation

* Facilitate the creation and update of project plans.

* Identify and track progress against project milestones

* Facilitation of project workshops

* Scheduling of project meetings including checkpoint and board meetings

* Ensuring all documentation and communication is distributed as established in the project plans

* Implementing project improvements as and when identified

Monitoring/Reporting

* Managing and updating of key project reports including:

* Monthly highlight reports

* Risk and issues log

* Finance forecasting spreadsheets

* Action logs

* Ensuring all project activity meets with the organisations compliance standards

* Producing ad-hoc reports as requested by the project manager

Personality Fit

* Good interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels within the programme team and multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.

* Good communication and listening skills and the ability to deal with key project stakeholders.

* Excellent organisational and administration skills.
