Job Summary:

New transformational program for a UK customer focusing on Big Data and advanced visualization capabilities, are currently on the lookout for a Data Analyst (BI, Data Warehouse, SQL) to join a Big Data team in getting involved in complex analytics application configuration to meet end user requirements while also configuring workflows, analyses, templates, reports and other application controls.

Upon joining, the Data Analyst (BI, Data Warehouse, and SQL) will be tasked with creating data links to source systems using SQL statements or application interfaces whilst also monitoring system configuration and system interfaces.

This is an extremely varied role for any Data Analyst (BI, Data Warehouse, SQL) who is looking for a very exciting and challenging role

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing hands-on data collection and data quality assessment services.

* Data verification to check data conforms to some predetermined set of norms.

* Partner and collaborate with business leadership on complex, single and multi-variable research questions to yield insight and a more informed decision making process by using a combination of structured and unstructured data.

* Engages with project stakeholders to understand the business question. Helps bring structure to each request and translates requirements into an analytical approach.

* Communicate results, interpretations, and conclusions in a manner that maximizes the understanding of others. Makes the case for change, sizes the opportunity area, and when necessary influence the audience off of traditionally held perspectives.

* Manage a portfolio of work to ensure timelines are met and clients are informed of progress. Work with business partners and supervisor to ensure appropriate prioritization of work.

* Gathers data across channels when applicable to ensure a complete understanding of client behavior and potential opportunities.

* Seeks to maximize automation.

* Identify, implement, and support thorough testing and quality controls to ensure only the highest quality outputs are delivered to our clients.

* Participates in projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

* 3+ years working as a Data Analyst

* SQL Querying

* Scrum & Agile methodology

* Experience from Big Data projects

* Data Warehousing

* Dimensional Data Models

* Data Manipulation

* Strong Communication skills/Stakeholder Engagement

* Relational and No SQL database experience

* Worked with structured, unstructured and semi-structured data

Nice to Have Skills:

* Experience working in Government projects

The ideal candidate will be SC cleared, or eligible and willing to undergo the relevant checks.
