Technical Support Consultant

A leading independent Software Company based in the City of London are looking for a Technical Support Consultant with working knowledge of Software Systems and Applications. You will be joining the small and creative Client Services Team in what is a fast-pace Technology driven organisation.

As the Technical Support Consultant, you will be providing 2nd and 3rd line support to the Client's wed-based trading systems. You will be liaising with stakeholders at all levels, based in locations globally. You will build relationships to support the global financial customers.

Responsibilities;

The Technical Support Consultant will be responsible for all the Technology problem solving associated with the Clients Web-Based Trading Systems. You will have to review the product code and work alongside the developers to ensure that all problems requiring a software fix are resolved.

You will be managing issues efficiently and effectively, using your technical expertise to provide solutions to both a technical and non-technical audience.

You will be expected to maintain and develop lasting relationships, committing to your clients requirements. You will be providing them with a forward-thinking and continuously improving service, using your technical ability.

Requirements;

The Technical Support Consultant will require a resilient, self-starter who is confident and engaging to support demanding clients.

To successfully fill the demands of this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

Experience of providing technical support for software systems/applications.

At least one programming languages including Java and/or .NET experience

Educated to Degree level (2:1 or above) - Ideally Computer Science/ Software Engineering etc.

Experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels

Excellent communication skills

Practical experience of Linux, Tomcat, Weblogic, Sybase (Desirable)
