My client based in East of Scotland is seeking an embedded software developer to join their team on a permanent basis.

What will the role involve?

Working within a wider development team you will be responsible for the design, development and testing of embedded software using a number of tools and languages including C and C++ giving you the opportunity to exhibit your skills in a fast-paced environment working on a variety of projects.

What skills will I need?

* Excellent C/C++ programming skills, in a real time, embedded environment

* Strong understanding of embedded systems

* Experience of debugging and testing real-time embedded software

* The ability to produce detailed specification documents, propose design solutions, identify target hardware, implement and test designs.

* 16 and 32-bit microcontrollers (ARM, PIC, MSP430)

What skills would be beneficial?

* RTOS experience

* Linux System development

* Windows development
