Based on site with Jaguar Land Rover in Gaydon working with a world renowned consultancy, you will work in a team responsible for Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) and Highly Automated Driving (HAD).
Your contribution to something big
1 Fulfil the role of key knowledge holder for ADAS functions and systems
2 Understand and clarify the System and Functional requirements with the OEM and communicate them to the Internal function and SW groups
3 Support Definition of E/E Architecture together with OEM for the next generation Vehicle platforms for ADAS
4 Customer Interface for System and SW architecture topics
5 Discussion on new functions and product overview with the OEM
6 Partnering with OEM to define product/ Function roadmaps
7 First point of technical contact for clarifications with OEM and Internal
8 Handling of first level of escalation on defects and provide solutions
9 Support of EOL topics for the OEM
10 Support Vehicle / System integration and packaging topics
11 Defining interface to handle system of systems
12 Support technical coordination with different development locations
13 Support in recruitment and development of Application / System Engineers in the UK
14 Support the development of a local engineering / development team in the UK to provide quick solutions
15 Participate in Monthly reviews on project status with stake holders
16 Ensure alignment of company and OEM specifications.
17 Attend application meetings at the customer, taking a leading role in influencing the customer
18 Support vehicle testing and validation topics at the OEM.
19 Participate in Engineering sign off activities of systems and functions according to agreed KPI's
20 Support and participate as required in the acquisition of new business in the UK
21 Maintain communication in a global project with numerous sites at customer and internal sites
22 Where required, give assistance based on experience to other Engineers working in the department
What distinguishes you:
1 Educated with an Electrical Engineering degree or SW engineering degree
2 Experience in Driver Assistance systems
3 Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
4 Experience in embedded SW systems
5 Experience with vehicle and system architectures (CAN, Flex-ray, Ethernet)
6 Previous experience with USS, Video and Radar systems including their integration
7 Familiar with DA application software and required tools.
8 Experience in active and passive safety systems, powertrain and steering systems
9 Experience of diagnostics and error management
10 Experience in all aspects of vehicle test environments
11 Valid, full drivers licence therefore able to travel to customer sites
12 Able to travel internationally
13 Experience in a leadership role is a bonus
14 Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a diverse team
15 Must be flexible and willing to travel
16 Knowledge of German language desirable
17 Ability to work and deliver under pressure at the customer's site
