Process Manager (Hot-End Process) Runcorn: Up to £50k

Huxley Engineering and a Multi-£Bn Global Name in Materials Production & Manufacture are looking to recruit a Process Manager on a permanent basis for their large Production facility in the Runcorn area.

Reporting into the Site Operations Manager, the role of the Process Manager to deliver the safe and efficient operation of the Hot End Furnace (melting and fiberising process), developing both Hot-End Processes & Teams.

The Key Accountabilities of the Process Manager are:

Performance

* Control operational performance to achieve annual production targets and associated plant KPIs.

* Ensure WCM methodology is embedded and used as the key process in identifying and prioritising plant losses and initiating continuous improvement, delivering against the annual cost deployment matrix.

* Manage and drive WCM systems down to the shift teams - basic tools (QK, OPL, 5S, tagging) and the Autonomous Maintenance pillar.

* Control operational costs against budget, and deliver cost reductions.

Leadership

* Responsible for developing and managing the performance of 5 shift teams, performance managers and process engineers.

* Through appropriate management style, foster a culture of engagement, commitment and continuous improvement within the plant, coaching and developing a leadership style amongst the management population that will support this culture.

* Support the Plant WCM program deployment in the formation of the plant business strategy and play a key role in delivering against the strategy.

* To deliver performance and efficiency improvements and cost reduction in the plant, by application of WCM techniques

* To develop and improve the plant mainline and ancillary processes.

* To develop the technical knowledge within the plant management and shift teams

Specifically, my client is looking for a Process Manager who possesses the following:

* Ideally degree educated (Chemical Engineering or Glass Melting) or equivalent

* Previous experience in a Hot-End Process management role within a Pyro-Processing or similar continuous production environment (Ie Steel Works, Refinery, Glass Float etc)

* Knowledge of continuous improvement (WCM) techniques

* High numeric and analytic skills

For the successful Process Manager a salary up to £50,000 is on offer and this Process Manager role is commutable from Chester, Liverpool, Warrington, South Manchester, Runcorn, Widnes, Northwich, Speke, St Helens and Crewe.
