Sr Marketing Director and Product management:

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all IVD/Diagnostics marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities, both internal and external. Oversee the Product Management Team to assure the strategic product roadmap is delivered. Coordinate and oversee sales support material, communications and PR. You will be instrumental in growing all the marketing and product management activities (upstream and downstream) in a highly dynamic early stage business.

Your Responsabilities:

* Oversee Product Management team and assure targets, plans and NPI timelines are achieved

* Hire, train, develop, mentor and foster talent development of both marketing and product development team resources

* Implement effective, measurable marketing communications plans

* Deploy and maintain latest social media marketing campaign tools to reach broadest audience possible

* Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure evaluations are in place related to these goals and objectives

* Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media

* Oversee Development and implementation of product roadmaps for scanners, software, IT/storage and analytics

* Define with Sales supporting material and deployment tools for capital equipment, fee per use and managed services commercial models

* Assure effective planning and coordination with regulatory department

Your team: You will oversee a team (10-15) of Directors and Managers in both the Marketing and Product Management groups reporting directly to the General Manager. Based in Best, Netherlands or Cambridge MA. The position will be focused on assuring the best people are hired, developed and deployed to drive strategic product development and tactical (downstream) marketing.

We are looking for

* Prior general management and/or product management experience of a business, with at least $50M in revenue, including P&L responsibility.

* Experience in IVD industry and regulated product development

* Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.

* Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.

* Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel.

* Clear success stories developing and launching scientific/medical device products

* Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.

* Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.

* Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.

* Strong oral and written communications skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

* Demonstrated ability to build and execute a multi-year product development strategy (i.e. a product 'roadmap').

* Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated & a driving force of product development in their current or past organizations.

* A global perspective to developing products that meet global and region-specific needs. Strong experience with growing businesses in emerging markets, especially the Middle East, China, Russia, India, South America and Africa.

* Previous experience with M&A and integration efforts is a plus.

* Bachelor's degree in a Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field of study. Additional advanced degrees are preferred, but not required

* At least 15 years relevant experience

* Proactive attitude, comfortable in a high risk, high reward environment

* Global travel required

* Strong strategic and planning skills
